THE Family Choir sings at the 10:15 AM Youth Sunday service, which is on the fourth Sunday of the month. All children ages five years old and up are welcome. Parents are also welcome if they would like the opportunity to sing with their children or if their kids would like their parent(s) to sing with them! There are ample opportunities, for children who want to do so, to sing solos or duets with great support from the choir.Our Family Choir traditionally sings at the yearly Mustard Seed fashion show, and on the Sunday preceding Christmas they perform a musical that tells the Christmas story in song. In 2007 the choir performed EEK! THE MUSICAL, by Mark Schweizer and Richard Shephard, which was a lot of fun for everyone. Can you squeak like a mouse? Come join us. We have one goal in mind…to MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE UNTO THE LORD! The Family Choir is directed by Belinda Nissen and rehearses every Sunday (except Youth Sunday) from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM, following the 10:15 AM service. On Youth Sunday the Family Choir joins the Fourth Sunday Ensemble at 9:30 AM to rehearse the service music and the anthem. The music included is eclectic, incorporating “popular style” compositions of the 20th and 21st centuries from around the world.
