Acolytes are the youngest members of All Saints’ Worship Team. They serve as crucifers, banner carriers, and assistants to the Priest in the service.

Lenten and Easter Services at All Saints
1. ~ Lenten Series – “The Way of Love, Wednesdays March 27th and April 3rd 6:00 P.M. – 7:30 P.M. Join us for “The Way of Love” during Lent. The Way of Love will be a dedicated time to step outside the fog and craziness of life to share a meal, hear each other’s stories, and reconnect to basic principles of a Jesus-centered life. Come to one or all of the sessions. Dinner and childcare provided. Please RSVP in the Narthex (entry) or email office(at)allsaintspdx(dot)org. If you can, sign up to make soup or bring bread in the Parish Hall.
2.~The Sunday of the Passion: Palm Sunday, April 14
The service begins with the triumphal entry into Jerusalem and ends in the dramatic reading
of Christ’s Passion. Blessing of Palms & Processional begins at 8:00 A.M. in Narthex and at 10:15 A.M. outside.
3.~Maundy Thursday, April 18
6:00 P.M. This service calls to mind the Last Supper that Jesus shared with his disciples through symbolic foot washing and an Agape Meal. Our evening begins with a communal meal in the Parish Hall that will transition into a time of music, storytelling and Communion shared at the tables. The service will then transition into the church for the Stripping of the Altar. The meal and service in the hall are family friendly and will be participatory and engaging for children and adults alike. 4.~Good Friday, April 19
12:00 Noon Stations of the Cross in the Church: A prayerful observance of the traditional Stations said before each of the fourteen images of Christ’s passion. 7:00 P.M. Good Friday Liturgy. Principal Service of the day with sermon and music led by the Chancel Choir, the Veneration of the Cross, and Eucharist from the Reserved Sacrament.
5.~The Great Vigil of Easter, Saturday Night, April 20th. 7:30 P.M. The service dating to the fourth century begins at the door of the Church in darkness with the lighting of the new fire, from which we light the Paschal Candle, hear the ancient Exsultet, and re-tell the stories of God’s love and call to us. The readings will be shortened. With the announcement that the Lord is risen and the ringing of bells, we celebrate the first Eucharist of Easter. Incense is used at this liturgy.
6.~Easter Day, Sunday of the Resurrection, April 21st. 8:00 A.M. Festive Easter Eucharist, Rite I, in the Church with Chancel Choir. 9:15 A.M. Easter Breakfast for Choir and Clergy in Parish Hall. 10:30 A.M. Festive Easter Eucharist, Rite II, with choir and brass.
